Technology and culture move faster than people can make sense of it.

For 13 years, I've studied how people live with technology, building educational programs so fewer are left behind, and making new ideas and products meaningful to the people they're designed for. Lasting adoption happens when sharp insight, ready-made solutions and good narratives come together. I partner with founders and organizations to make that happen.

Workwell's Connection Pack card deck
Partnerships & programs · Workwell · 2026

Launched Workwell to make workplace wellbeing a daily practice

Most workplace wellbeing support is either buried in digital platforms that employees rarely use or introduced at offsites and quickly forgotten. I created the Workwell brand, developed and launched two physical card decks designed for daily use, supported by facilitated workshops for public and private sector teams, achieving an average participant satisfaction score of 85%.

Led large global programs to bring AI and digital skills to public servants and students

Governments wanted to move fast on AI and digital services, and their teams needed skills that fit their work. I led a team to design, fund and deliver programs, thought leadership and roundtables to governments across Asia, Europe and Africa with partners including DeepMind, Intel, Oracle, UN bodies, Apolitical, Strathmore University, Starlink and more. We reached 5,000+ civil servants in the first year alone, with political commitments to train hundreds of thousands more.

Co-designed a digital leadership program for the Kenyan government

To fast-track digital transformation, Kenya's Ministry of ICT brought together 50 new ICT directors to build the next generation of digital leaders, with the skills, mindset and AI fluency to drive innovation across government. I secured funding to lead a partnership with Strathmore University for a one-week executive program combining academic insight, policy context and private-sector innovation. Expert-led sessions on AI, data and infrastructure helped participants build action plans for cross-government collaboration and citizen-centered services, with 95% of participants agreeing the program improved their decision-making as leaders.

Helped house Ukrainian refugees within weeks of the invasion

When people fled Ukraine in 2022, they needed safe homes faster than official systems could find them. I co-founded Find-A-Host, built a 30+ person volunteer team and a community model that could scale, and launched partnerships including Airbnb.org. Together we housed 1,000+ refugees within weeks and earned national media coverage.

Poster for the Happiness Festival
Marketing & communications · The Happiness Foundation · 2020

Produced a global festival on the science of happiness

As the world shut down during COVID-19, people were looking for evidence-based ways to look after their wellbeing. I led marketing and production for the first Happiness Festival, a free 3-day virtual event with 50 scientists and thinkers, and secured and led interviews with Misty Copeland, Laurie Santos, Maya Shankar and Robert Waldinger. The talks have 60,000+ views.

Google Research publication page: What does AI mean for smallholder farmers?
Go-to-market & insight · Google Research · 2019

Found where Google's AI could help smallholder farmers, and turned it into pilots

Farming lifts incomes in the poorest communities, but smallholder farmers struggle with yields, information and access to capital. I ran a market landscape, trends analysis and in-depth interviews to shape Google's vision for AI in farming communities, resulting in a cross-functional sprint that set the direction and led to 2 new partnership pilots.

Go-to-market & insight · Google Assistant, Next Billion Users · 2018–2019

Shaped the conversation on Google's voice AI for New Internet Users

Google coined the term “Next Billion Users,” but teams lacked a shared understanding of what it meant, while millions of Indic language speakers remained underserved by products not designed for them. I led audience segmentation and iterative research to establish Google Assistant’s product-market fit in Indian and Indonesian markets, identifying key use cases and messaging, particularly for low-income women. This informed Google’s first Hindi-language Assistant campaign, driving growth in monthly active users and 28-day feature retention. The segmentation was adopted across emerging markets product teams, and I was invited to speak and lead workshops on the role of voice technology in emerging markets.

Go-to-market & insight · Google Assistant · 2017–2018

Helped find product-market fit for Google Assistant

People didn't know when or why they'd use a voice assistant, and Google wasn't sure either. I led research to map audiences and daily routines, and built a model to evaluate creative use case scenarios. The insights shaped 5 campaigns and partnerships, with one of our campaigns becoming the most efficient campaign globally for user acquisition.

The Art Works For Change page on Google Arts & Culture, showing six stories
Marketing & communications · Art Works For Change · 2017

Brought an Oakland arts nonprofit's exhibitions to a global online audience

Art Works For Change creates contemporary art exhibitions on sustainability and women's rights. Its donors and supporters were moving their conversations online, but a traditional museum model couldn't reach new viewers there. I brokered a new partnership and digital exhibit between Art Works For Change and Google Arts & Culture, which was featured on the platform's home page and two months later received a placement on Google's homepage, growing the nonprofit's web traffic by 4x.

A packed Google Ads customer event with speakers on large screens
Partnerships & programs · Google Ads · 2016–2017

Grew a multi-million dollar Google Ads B2B events program

Google's SMB marketing budget went almost entirely to finding new customers, while existing customers lacked hands-on, continuous support. I launched a global events program that mixed executive relationship-building, practitioner training, and an always-on content series, building the creative, operational and measurement infrastructure behind it. Our program touched $2B+ in annualized revenue, and causal impact analysis demonstrated statistically significant growth in client revenue.

Marketing & communications · Google Doodles · 2016–2017

Ghostwrote the stories behind Google Doodles

Google Doodles spark curiosity about people, places and moments most people would never think to search for. I wrote the stories that ran alongside dozens of them, from aviator Amy Johnson to Bastille Day. Each story earned an average of 50 press mentions, including The Telegraph, The Independent and Time.

Google Maps Street View page for the Khumbu, Nepal
Marketing & communications · Google Maps · 2016

Took 5 million armchair travelers to the foot of Everest

People used Google Maps to navigate everyday life, but many didn't realize they could use Street View to explore places and cultures around the world. To reposition Street View as a tool for discovery, I helped launch a website and film showcasing the Sherpa community and culture of Nepal's Khumbu Valley. Supported by PR, paid media and a donation to a local NGO, the campaign generated 5 million video views and a 28% lift in brand interest.

Bio

I spent nearly a decade at Google leading research and marketing programs that helped SMBs and startups grow, while shaping new consumer experiences in conversational AI. Since then, I've worked with governments, multilaterals, startups and industry leaders to deploy and advocate for technology that improves outcomes for people. My work sits at the intersection of people, culture, technology and markets, turning insight into the strategies, systems and stories that help organizations grow.

I'm drawn to models that give people more agency over their futures, and to the people building better ways for us to connect with one another and the world.

Raised in a family of helpers, I've always come back to a few simple principles: be kind, learn from others and do good things. They've taken me from a small town to working around the world, launching category-shaping products and campaigns, building communities, and hosting a podcast about life's biggest decisions. Alongside my core work, I teach yoga, breathwork and mindfulness-informed workshops. I hold degrees from New York University and the University of Oxford.

A squiggly-line person by nature, I'm at my best making sense of the world around me and turning what I discover into something useful, meaningful and delightful.
